Hi,everyone! So having that week off, also let me find who I am and what I am. I think it’s something someone has to do when they have a busy life and don’t have the chance to sit back and look at themselves.
Who am I? Well, that’s one of the main questions in life and to be honest, it’s a very deep and hard thing to answer. It’s one of my many goals in life to find it out. And I think, I’m one step closer.
I took a quiz online with my best friend, Elle, to find out what my personalty is as nobody has a clue what I am so we went on the personality test and it was really eye-opening. The quiz had about 100 questions and they were really easy to understand.
My results came back and I got ‘The Advocate’ (INFJ) which is very rare and only less than one percent of the world population have that. I wasn’t sure if that was a good or bad thing but now looking back on it, I’m happy that I got it. They gave a very detailed description of my personality and I (and Elle) felt it was pretty accurate.
Advocates are soft spoken but have very strong opinions and will fight tirelessly for an idea they believe in. That explains how I always seem to get into political arguments with people I’ve just met which sometimes doesn’t make a good impression.
People around them will come to think of them as quiet extroverted types but they need to remember that Advocates need time to decompress and recharge, and not to be too alarmed when suddenly then have withdrawn from their surroundings.
I agree with this hugely as sometimes when I am hanging out with friends, I like to have a few minutes to be by myself and think for a bit so I don’t get too closed in. Like the other day, I was hanging out with about ten people from school in a park but around three hours in there, I wanted time alone. So when all of them went to play manhunt, I stayed behind to relax and listen to music on my own. It made me feel hugely more comfortable when they came back.
Advocates like to help other people but sometimes it gets them pass their breaking point where they find themselves exhausted, moody, unhealthy and stressed. This becomes especially apparent when advocates find themselves up against conflict and criticism – their sensitivity forces them to do everything they can to evade these seemingly personal attacks, but when the circumstances are unavoidable, they can fight back in highly hurtful and mean ways. It’s important for them to remember to take care of themselves.
I totally understand this. Whenever someone starts shouting at me, I will shout back and won’t let me get hurt. I stand up for myself whenever people come to criticise me wrong.
My strengths (I got this from the test and only included the ones which I agree in)
- Can understand what people go through and how to help them.
- Inspiring and convincing
- Decisive and have huge amounts of willpower.
- Have strong beliefs.
- Extremely private
- Always needs to have a cause.
- Can burn out easily.
So that’s just a little bit more about my personality and it was really interesting post to write. You guys should take the test so if you would like to take the test, click here and tell me what you got in the comments below 🙂
