Paris was the most beautiful place on Earth I have ever visited so far. I didn’t expect it to be that stunning especially as it was only an hour flight from Bristol airport but god did it take my breath. It was one of those trips that really set my mind on how my life is doing, it’s still pretty shit but you know what, I’m going to be out of this small town in a few years and I won’t have to stay in contact with the people who have ruined my perspective on love and life
Saying that probably makes you think I’ve broken up with Reece. I haven’t, we are perfectly happy at the moment together. And I’m really lucky to have him which was shown when missing him while I was away in Paris.
The world has a lot of bull shit in it, a ton load and at the moment, I only have a few people in my life who I would consider to be close with and I need to realise that’s all I need.
Anyways, I should stop yapping on and show you the pictures and tell you about them. But first, let me show you the video that I made ๐
On the first day, we went to the centre of Paris to get a sense of the city and god, I was impressed. We decided to go to a lovely little French cafe to have breakfast which is where I had a drink of very (very) sour fresh orange juice and ate this type of french bread with butter. It was delicious. Although, in that cafe, I was still a timid British tourist who didn’t know the French ways and was nervous about seeing the rest of the city.

Afterwards, we roamed around the river which oh my god, was so beautiful compared to London’s dirty brown water with piss ridden bridges and big storey blocks. Paris’ Le Seine (the river) has a magnificent design of the bridges and lovely stone houses looking over the banks; it was like something out of a movie.
Notre Dame Cathedral was our next stop. The garden behind the Cathedral was colourful with orange trees and underneath the trees, there was a small playground which Jarvis and I happily messed around in (which you can see in my video). Sadly, I don’t have any photos of the Notre Dame, however, you can see clips of the Cathedral in my new video of Paris.
Down a couple of streets of Notre Dame, there was the Concierge which was used during the French Revolution, to hold prisoners including the ex-queenย Marie Antoinette before being executed. I don’t have any photos or videos of this visit, however, if you are ever in Paris and you’re a massive history geek, I really recommend going there as it was really interesting ๐
Next door to the Concierge, was the Palace of Justice which chapel had the most magnificent glass windows I have ever and probably will ever see. The purple of the glass shone on the stunned people looking up at the art of the biblical scenes and had this real sense of feel about God’s power (even though I’m an atheist).
After the chapel, we went across Pont Neuf which had thousands of locks across the bridge for couples to show their ‘undying’ love to each other. It was kinda sweet but woah, it still made me cringe from my past Astrid who hated PDA (I still have a thing against it).
Paying Moana Lisa a visitย was hot and sweaty business (not like that). There were so many people cramped up in the room and little screaming kids running around, that I was tempted to chase after them and scream with them to make them awed with surprise that they would stop talking. However, I didn’t as I have no guts to be confronted by French police.
After that crowded incident, we travelled along Tuileries Garden where we saw this random goat eating grass.. very random. I pressed Jarvis to take photos of me for my Instagram because the fallen leaves just gave this beautiful atmosphere of Autumn that I couldn’t miss the impunity for a little photoshoot.
My excitement was buzzing when I reached the Eiffel Tower as it was the only place that I’ve ever really really wanted to go to and it was just breathtaking to see it in front of me. However, my fear of heights kicked in when I was on the second floor of the Tower so I stayed there. Funnily enough, I couldn’t look up because I was near the top of Eiffel Tower and that bloody scared my brain.
That’s the end of my first day in Paris and the end of the first part of the tale of my travel in Paris. However, I will be back to tell you the rest. Do make sure to check out my small video of Paris to just see overall what I did while I was there.
Make sure to comment where you are travelling next or where you would like to travel.
See you soon,
Astrid xxx

There is so much so bread there haha; it lived up to the stereotypes. Being pen pals would be such a cool thing to do, it’s a bit like blogging in some ways ๐

Paris is one of my favorite cities, there’s so much to see! The one thing I wish I did was to go up the Eiffel Tower, unfortunately, my family didn’t want to wait in line (most of the elevators were broken).

I loved this post! My family and I traveled through France on our way to Spain, and we spent 1 day in Paris. One day definitely wasn’t enough time to see all the beautiful churches and art museums but we managed to walk across the city and catch the next train to Chartres. Next time you go to France I recommend going to Brittany, I haven’t been but my French friends always tell my family to go there and that it’s really beautiful. Also, your video was very cool and I felt like I was there again โค and I love Sweet Disposition!
